July Photostroll Planning
Hello, SFlickrers! I hope you are having a marvelous summer so far. Our next meeting-date is fast approaching, so let’s discuss options for a photostroll around San Francisco.

I’m up for just about anything although here are some ideas:
1. I’ve always wanted to go to that spot on Yerba Buena island overlooking the bridge. The down side is that its nearly impossible to get to without a car.
2. Last month I think people mentioned twin peaks. That’s also kind of hard to get to without a car. Maybe the park on top of Bernal Heights is easier? Also, we have a couple of members who live there. I’ve never been there but that’s where Arto shot his owl shots a couple years ago and where they do the Soapbox Derby.
3. Meet at the Ferry Building and sit around eating yuppie groceries (assuming Acme Bread, Cowgirl Creamery, etc are open that late). After a while take a walk along the Embarcadero. I could show you the sekrit aerie where I shot this.

I like the Ferry Building/Embarcadero idea too!
I am up for something on thursday night or over the weekend. Hope to catch up with y’all.
Valerie’s opening is a few blocks away from the Ferry building from 5:00-7:00 and our event usually doesn’t start till 7. Maybe those of us who can get there early should go to her opening and then migrate over to the ferry building to meet up with everyone else.
Do we want to move the meet to the weekend? I’m certainly open to that. It might be easier to stroll somewhere off the beaten path if we go on the weekend.
